I have been fat my whole life and am getting sick of it. My true religions are size 29(not woman's 1-12 sizes)(and thankfully too big) and I want to get to a 26 eventually. How many pounds does it take to get there? I have googled it and got a lot of different answers. Could someone who has dieted tell me how many pounds it takes for them to lose a pants size?
It really does depend on several factors and is different for everyone. It will vary according to your height, natural build and bone structure, current weight (ie you may need to lose a different amount to go from a 12 to a 10 than if you want to go from a 4 to a 2), your body composition (ie how much fat/muscle you have) and how you carry your weight (ie are you an apple/pear/hourglass figure etc). Also, people lose weight off different areas at different rates. You could lose 5 pounds, but it might all come off your upper body and therefore wouldn't make a difference to your pants size. It could take anywhere from around 5 to 10 pounds to drop one dress or pants size.
