First Date Style Tips And Tricks
You have been sitting there, fussing over what to wear for this first date with someone new. You're probably aware that coming home from work, spritzing yourself with a bit of eau de parfum spray isn't going to cut it. Maybe this is a blind date set up by a friend, or perhaps you do know this person already. The thing to remember is that you want to make a good first impression, but it's not as hard as you may be thinking.
So, what are some of the ways that you can make sure that when you're getting ready for that first big date, you are fully prepared and looking fantastic? Here are some hot tips to make sure that you look incredible for a date.
Figure out what it is you're going to be doing. This is one area where people sometimes hesitate to ask, but what if you wound up wearing skinny jeans when he wants to take you to the opera? This would be more awkward than simply finding out where you are going to go, and what you are going to do. Think about making sure you know how you should dress for the occasion, and consider this before you decide not to ask.
It may not be easy to ask your date what you should wear, but you don't have to do it that way. Just ask what you'll be doing. This is the most simple way to make sure that you are clear on what you should, or should not wear.
Yes, you want to also be yourself. But if yourself is always lounging around in old sweats casual, you may want to rethink that. This may be your every day style, but it's right up there on the attraction factor with wearing a brown boot and a high heel shoe.
Make sure that you are at least dressed in a sharp casual fashion, but not too casual. Usually for first dates out to dinner and the like, a casual business attire can work. However, if you have done step one and found out that you'll be visiting a gym- then there is no problem with the sweats and t shirt approach. Save it for the gym, though. Jeans are another thing to think about, but in most cases, they are not all that appropriate.
If you're going to be doing something more active, a walk or something, jeans are probably fine. If you're going out to dinner, they more than likely are not. No matter what you wear, keep it also a bit on the conservative side so you do not give off the wrong impression. Later on, you can wear things that are a bit more revealing, but not at first. Being able to be comfortable, but attractive on a first date may bring on the second one for you.
