Fix The Problem Microsoft

I am as many people would call me a Xbox 360 fan boy but I do have the other two so at least I can actually compare them personally. Just because it is my favourite it doesn’t mean that the console itself wasn’t released with some problems that are still perhaps not fixed.

I was very lucky to get my console upon its first release along with two games, this was quite a feat considering the demand upon release. The two games that came with my console were Kameo and King Kong and both were very good games back then. King Kong is now of course used for the easy achievement points and Kameo is often seen in the bargain bin of many gaming stores. Then again, nearly all old games seem to devalue over time.

The games are great it seems to be a problem with the console. The three rings of death or three red rings is a term that angers many of the Xbox community as it is such a pain in the arse when it happens, if you are not familar with the term it means the console is pretty much broken unless you send it off for repair.

Even the new Elites have not been fixed as many are still experiencing these problems, I myself have been through two repairs with my original console. There aren’t enough fans within the console itself so when it overheats it will slowly begin to melt away the soldering on the motherboard which then of course breaks the console. You can fix the console for a short time by wrapping it in a wet towel, this will cool down the inside and keep it up and running, this tend to only work for a day or two at the most.

It could be an idea to put more fans into the system? It is already loud enough, putting more fans in is not going to help this at all. So what is likely to happen is that we are going to have to wait until the next console release for the problem to be sorted. The repair service is free within three years purchase which is nice and it hasn’t stopped me from ordering my brand new 250GB special edition “super” elite.

It is funny how far ac fans and a few electrical components can go isn’t it?
