With Modern Gadgets There Are No Excuses For Getting Lost
There is not an area of technology that can be said has not advanced a great deal in recent years, although there are some that really stand out more than others.These are namely the areas of personal entertainment and home-computing, both of which have seen a large rise in demand and have responded with incredible developments and reductions in cost. Another area that has come on leaps and bounds is navigational technology. Here are details of three very important developments in navigation technology over the last few years.
Satellite Navigation. In-car navigational technology has been around for over ten years now, but its rate of progress has accelerated recently. They have become more usable in difficult or busy driving areas as their re-routing speed is now much faster and they can factor in things like road works and traffic accidents from live feeds. Their screens have also become easier to use and have better function navigation. You can even get them built into phones now, making them a favourite of cheats on orienteering team building days.
Transport Information. Although public transport has been operating for a great many years, getting access to the necessary dates and times of travel has never been a quick and easy job really. That all changed however when travel operators started publishing their timetables onto the world wide web for everyone to see. Furthermore, there are aggregator programs that allow you to type in a venue such as ‘Cheltenham’ and they will tell you all the travel routes and times and also tell you any events going on such as Cheltenham hospitality events and festivals.
Friend and Family Location. If you have ever wanted to know where you friends and family are at every waking hour, there has never been a better time to do it. Phone companies are increasingly offering opt-in services where you can track all your contacts locations whenever and wherever they are using GPS technology. This is very useful for keep track of people at a festival or large corporate hospitality events for example, as people tend to wonder off and get lost quite a bit.
What is a good slogan for the tech team?
At school I am in charge of making the tech team t-shirt. And i need a catchy slogan. Tech team is a group of students that goes around school fixing computers and helping run the sound booth for shows and assemblies. Any suggestions are welcome!
