The iconic iron structure, the Eiffel Tower, was built in the years 1887 - 1889. The structure was named after architect and engineer, Gustave Eiffel. At 324 metres (to the tip of the Antenna), the structure is the tallest structure in Paris. Located beside the Seine River on the Champ de Mars, the tower offers an ideal way to view the picturesque city of Paris.
